The combination of the BIONZ X processor and a sensor delivers a continuous shooting rate of 11 frames per second with AF and AE. It can also be operated with a silent shutter for up to 8 frames per second.

The Exmor CMOS sensor can be used to record 4K videos at up to 30 frames per second. In addition, it can be utilized to record oversampled 4K videos, which can be further enhanced by using the Super 35 area’s 6K capture method. Its full-pixel readout eliminates the need for pixel binning, and provides a higher quality image with reduced aliasing and moiré.

The S-Log2 and S-Log3 are versatile post-production tools that can accommodate various requirements, such as high-speed recording and increased stability. They can also be used with the Hybrid Log-Gamma feature.

Uncompressed HDMI output allows the use of an external device to record 4K videos with 4:2:2 sampling. In addition, a time-lapse movie can be created with the help of the Imaging Edge software. The program can set intervals between 1 and 60 seconds to record up to 9999 frames.
