Rangefinder and Light Meter

The new M6 Classic features a full overhaul, taking advantage of the latest technology and techniques pioneered by the modern M-body. It’s a great addition to any collection of rangefinders, and it’s also a bit lighter than its predecessor. Its 0.72x magnification makes it an ideal middle ground between the alternatives. 

New electronics have been used to make the light meter more reliable. It also features a modern display with a dot on the center, and it’ll work with various 135-millimeter and 28-35mm lens models. The attached lens will automatically set the focal length in the viewfinder when it’s connected to the body.

The rangefinder features a field selector that allows you to display all of the frame lines, and it also has a built-in battery warning. This feature lets you select the ideal focal length and focus on the subject at the right moment.

Craftsmanship

The new light meter features a redesigned top cover. Although the original was made from diecast zinc, the new model is made from solid brass and has an abrasion-resistant coating. Its shutter speed dial is similar to the M6 Classic’s design, and a PC socket is located below the flash shoe. The rear ISO dial is also more reliable

Extras and Accessories

Every detail was taken into account to ensure that the M6’s experience would be the same as it was during the 1980s. This new version retains the original box, which is made from sustainable plastic and features the Leitz logo on the inside cover. The manual and black leather strap are also modeled after the originals.
