Its step motors offer quiet and smooth autofocus performance for video and stills applications. Its internal focusing system can also be used with a manual focus override, and it features a length-maintaining design. A dedicated focus ring at the rear ensures precise and tactile control over the position of the lens. Its minimum focusing distance of 1.1 inches and maximum magnification of 0.39x make it ideal for capturing close-up subjects. It is compatible with the Nikon Z series mirrorless cameras, including the 24mm-120mm and 36mm-180mm models. Its built-in Dual-Motor Autofocus system helps you get close to your subject and create amazing details. It features a two-speed, ultra-quiet STM motor that’s designed to split the focus between two separate motors for smooth and precise operation. Its control ring can also be used to set the aperture, ISO, or exposure compensation.

Technology & Design 

This frame features a combination of three ED components and three aspherical components for superb clarity and sharpness. It eliminates spherical and chromatic distortions throughout the zoom range.

The ARNEO and nanocrystal coats resist ghosting, flare, and reflections to produce clearer and more vivid images when used in combination with strong lighting conditions. The former controls light coming from a horizontal direction, while the latter controls it from a vertical angle.

A programmable control ring can be used to set the aperture, ISO, exposure compensation, or other settings. Its L.Fn button can be attached to the camera’s Fn buttons for quick access to various functions. Its lens barrel is dust and moisture-resistant, and it features a front fluorine finish for exceptional durability in adverse weather conditions.
