The URSA Cine 17K65 is a new digital cinema camera from Blackmagic Design that features a 65mm wide-format image sensor. It’s capable of shooting at up to 17K and features a variety of features, such as built-in memory, an adjustable lens, and live streaming. A robust 2.2:1 aspect-shift sensor, 16 stops of dynamic range, and a lightweight body with idustry-compatible connections make this the ideal choice for cinema. Its backmagic features allow you to shoot with real-time RAW. New color science in the form of a Gen 5 film curve.

8-Pin LEMO Connector 

The URSA Cine 17K’s 8-pin LEMO connector accepts 24V and 12V power sources and lets users use it in different ways. It also includes a B-mount battery and a 250W power supply, allowing users to recharge different types of batteries. Some of the brands that can be used include Core SWX, Blueshape, BEBOB, and IDX. In addition to this, the camera features a 12V-2 pin power supply on the rear, which can lower the voltage of accessories.

Interchangeable Lens Mounts 

With interchangeable lens mounts, including PL, LPL, EF, and Hasselblad options, you can take advantage of the latest technology. The built-in OLPF filter reduces moire and provides a low-aliasing quality. It’s compatible with the Media Dock and with network connections via 10G Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or mobile data. It has built-in RTMP and live streaming. The URSA Cine EVF is also included with the Davinci Resolve Studio, which can be used in post-production. The Cine’s body is made from a robust magnesium alloy and features a lightweight carbon fiber composite skin for easy transport. OLPF Built-In

The OLPF features a high-performance optical low-pass filter, which is matched to the sensor. It also includes an updated IR filter for enhanced red color response. This feature, when combined with the URSA Cine17K’s Blackmagic RAW processing, provides enhanced image detail and color accuracy.

New 17K Sensor 

The URSA Cine 17K65 is a new camera that features a 65mm lens with a built-in 4K resolution. It is capable of shooting at up to 17K with a wide dynamic range and is equipped with the latest Mini Pro 12K technology. The larger sensor also features 16 stops of dynamic range and the same amount of red, blue, and green pixels for rich colors.

Body Design and Monitoring Options 

The body of the camera is made from magnesium alloy, and it features a carbon fiber coating for added durability.

 The URSA Cine 17K features a large 5.7′′ foldout LCD monitor on one side and an LED-backlit external color LCD on the other. This allows the crew to work without using external monitors while maintaining a steady focus. Its built-in focus puller also helps users get the most out of their photos. The device is powered by the Blackmagic URSA Cine EVF, which makes it easy to shoot with handheld and outdoor cameras.

Storage Options and Built-In Cloud Storage

The Media Dock is a powerful tool that enables fast and easy color correction and editing in post-production. Multiple Blackmagic Media Modules can be connected to multiple URSA Cine cameras at the same time for high-speed media streaming.

Users can easily shoot 4K RAW files using the URSA Cine 17k and the 8TB Blackmagic Media Module. This allows them to capture up to 20 hours of 4K video.

The URSA Cine 17K is equipped with built-in Cloud Store technology, which allows users to store their videos at high frame rates and resolutions. It also allows them to access their files directly from their computers using 10G Ethernet.

Its built-in H.264 proxy feature allows users to create a small file with their original media to be transferred to the Blackmagic Cloud.

Streaming Options and More 

The camera’s hardware streaming engine can allow you to live stream video from the device to any supported platform. You can also connect it to the internet using a variety of methods, such as 4G or 5G mobile data. The camera features a 3-pin Fischer and 7-pin LEMO connector on the front. These connectors are ideal for attaching focus motors.
