The 50mm lens has a minimum focus distance that’s about 1.5 inches. Internal focusing helps minimize the effects of lens breathing and provides a more even and consistent angle-of view when adjusting the focus. It features a 9 element structure that includes one aspherical and one hybrid element to minimize distortions.

The lens also has a 77mm filter thread diameter. The 50mm lens from Rokinon is part of the company’s DS series of cinema lenses, which brings together the company’s various cine lenses under one label.
