The lens incorporates three extra-low dispersion elements to minimize chromatic aberrations and distortion while a Super EBC coating controls flare and ghosting for increased contrast and color fidelity. A robust weather-sealant is applied that incorporates seven seals on the lens barrel to protect against moisture, dust, and cold temperatures.
Design and other Camera Features
The ability to use a bright f/2 maximum aperture allows the X-series cameras to capture images in low-light conditions. It also provides greater control over the depth of field.
The three extra-low dispersion elements of the lens help minimize the effects of chromatic aberrations and minimize the color and flare distortions.
