The 100-400mm lens is ideal for capturing distant and moving subjects. Its built-in optical image stabilization and twin linear Auto Focus motor deliver fast and accurate performance.

The X-series lens is equipped with a variety of additional low-dispersion elements and Super ED elements to help minimize the effects of chromatic aberrations and color fringing.

Its built-in optical image stabilization system helps minimize the appearance of camera shake when shooting in low-light conditions. It also allows you to take advantage of slower shooting speeds.

The lens body features 13 weather seals that are designed to protect against moisture and dust, and they can be used in harsh climates such as freezing temperatures as low as 14 degrees Fahrenheit. A fluorine coating has also been applied to the front element to help minimize the effects of dust and moisture.

It is also equipped with a round nine-blade diaphragm to help improve its out-of-focus performance. This allows it to perform well in shallow depth of field and selective focus techniques.

The lens also features a zoom-lock switch to prevent unwanted zoom movement from happening while shooting. The rotating tripod collar can be used to mount it to a tripod or monopod for easy and balanced shooting.

The lens’ hood is also equipped with a sliding window to help users easily adjust the various rotating filters on the X-series. It’s compatible with the optional X-series cameras, such as the Fujifilm X-series 2x TC WR and 1.4x TC WR teleconverters.
