Fujifilm – X-T4 Extended Spectrum (ES) Infrared Mirrorless Camera

The X-T4 infrared camera from FUJIFILM is designed to capture infrared images. It features a versatile array of features and functions, such as enhanced video capabilities and workflow. The X-T4 features a 26.1MP APS-C-format X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor. It can shoot at up to 60 frames per second in 4K resolution and up to 240 frames per second in Full HD. It can also be operated with a mechanical shutter for continuous shooting at up to 15 frames per second. The X-T4’s sensor is equipped with a BSI design, which provides better overall clarity and reduced noise. It works in conjunction with the X-Processor 4, which helps improve responsiveness and performance. Its hybrid autofocus system features a combination of 425 phase-detect points and a contrast-detection method for accurate and quick AF. The X-T4 also comes with a built-in image stabilization system that can reduce the appearance of shake when using most commonly used lens mounts. Besides its processor and sensors, the X-T4 from FUJIFILM is known for its physical design. Its updated model features a better and more efficient design that’s ideal for shooting photos. Its large 3.69m dot electronic viewfinder also has a 100 fps refresh rate, which can provide pleasing tracking and panning characteristics. Fujifilm – X-T4 Extended Spectrum (ES) Infrared Mirrorless Camera Features:
The X-T4 is a versatile camera that allows users to take photos in the visible, infrared, and ultraviolet ranges.
It features a 26.1MP APS-C-format sensor that’s ideal for capturing images with exceptional detail and flexibility. Its back-illuminated design provides a smooth and creamy tonal rendering and its wide ISO range (160-12800).
The X-Trans sensor features a randomized array of pixels. This design provides a high degree of sharpness and image quality due to the absence of an optical low-pass feature. In addition, it’s more closely related to the organic characteristics of film than traditional pixel patterns.
Its built-in phase detection autofocus system has 425 points that can be used to cover most of the sensor area. Its AF system is designed to provide faster focusing performance in low-light conditions.
In addition to its focus and imaging capabilities, the X-Processor 4 is also equipped with a quad-core CPU. This device delivers faster performance and is capable of handling more tasks. It can shoot full-resolution images at up to 30 frames per second.
The X-Processor 4 can also help minimize the appearance of shake by using 5-axis image stabilization.
This feature is ideal for working with certain X-Series lenses, such as those with non-stabilized bodies. It helps users shoot in low-light situations and take photos with slower shutter speeds.
The X-T4 is a versatile camera that allows users to take advantage of its various video capabilities.
It can shoot 4K videos at 60 frames per second and 240 frames per second, and it can play back ultra-slow-motion videos. Its fast read speeds and low rolling shutter distortion help minimize the effects of filming while moving people.
It features a micro-HDMI port that allows users to record 10-bit 4:2:2 video to an external device.
The X-T4, which also comes with 10-bit color depth capability, can be used with F-Log gamma, which allows users to create a flat image for use in software used for color grading.
This feature helps users enhance the potential dynamic range and highlight various details in their photos. It has a 3.5mm microphone and a remote port for attaching headphones. A bright 3.69m dot electronic viewfinder with a magnification of 0.75x is ideal for viewing photos.
Its refresh rate can be increased to 100 percent to help minimize the lag caused by movement tracking and panning.
The X-T4’s top plate features a variety of locking and lever-driven controls that allow users to easily set their exposure settings.
These include dedicated ISO, shutter speed, and exposure compensation. It also has a C position for accommodating an expanded range of +/- 5 EV when working with command dials.
Command dials on the front and rear of the device have push function for easy use and settings selection. A rear joystick is also available for easy switching of AF points and menu navigation. Its redesigned mechanical shutter has been rated to withstand 300,000 actuations.
The X-T4 features a built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connection that enables users to wirelessly share photos with other mobile devices. It also allows users to control the camera using their device. It has a dual SD memory card slot that supports up to 32GB of storage and is compatible with the latest version of the UHS-II standard.
Film Simulation Modes

The X-T4 features Film Simulation modes, which are designed to mimic the look and feel of certain classic film types from FUJIFILM. These include Provia, Velvia, Astia, and Classic Chrome. Classic Chrome provides a deep color reproduction and muted tones, while Classic Neg delivers vibrant colors and a vintage filmic feel. The contrast options of this product are similar to the natural and punchy feel of Eterna’s professional-grade film. It provides a flat color and low saturation look that’s ideal for post-production color grading. The Bleach Bypass is a higher key and higher contrast option that can be used to refine the Eterna look. Using the same B&W film, the Acros monochrome mode features a distinct grain and tonality. Besides simulating specific types of film, the Grain Effect mode can also be used to replicate the look and feel of old film photos, especially when used for printing. In addition, Color Chrome and Blue effects can deepen color, offer a higher saturation range, and add a subtle tone.
