Overview

This lens supports hand-held shooting thanks to Optical Image Stabilizer system suppressing shift shake*. The lens also provides a fast and silent Auto Focus system by adopting linear motors. The exterior design is luxurious yet robust, so you can get premium feel. The aperture and focusing rings have been designed to be comfortable and easy to use. The lens is also weather and dust resistant and can operate in temperatures as low as -10°C, so it is suitable for use in a wide range of outdoor shooting conditions. A fluorine coating has also been applied to the front lens element to repel water and dirt, further improving the toughness of the lens.

Design and Other Camera Features

The Super EBC coating is also used to reduce the flare and ghosting in the images. It can be used in combination with the four extra-low dispersion elements to improve the performance of the lens.

The lens utilizes a two-stage floating focus system that features two different groups of focusing elements to deliver faster performance.

It features a Linear Motor AF system, which is ideal for video applications. It delivers smooth and silent performance when working in low-light conditions.

The Fujifilm X Series Macro lens comes with a focus range limiter switch that allows users to set their lens’s focusing distance to anywhere from 9.8 to infinity. This feature can be used to enhance the responsiveness of the lens’s focusing.

The lens also includes a 5-stop optical image stabilization system to minimize the appearance of camera shake. It can be used in low-light conditions with slower shooting speeds.

The body is weather-sealed to protect it from moisture and dust. This feature ensures that it can be used in low-light conditions and temperatures as low as 14 degrees Fahrenheit.

The front element of the Fujifilm X Series Macro lens is also protected from dust, dirt, and smudging by a fluorine coating. Its round diaphragm contributes to the overall appearance of the lens.

The lens is compatible with the optional X-series TC WR and X-series TC WR teleconverters. These two models can extend the effective focal length of the lens to 171mm and 244mm, respectively.
