The Sony FE 100mm f2.8 Macro GM Lens is the first proper macro lens in the G Master line. It features a 1.4x maximum magnification, a multitude of physical controls, and a built-in optical stabilization system for handheld shooting. It can also be used as a general purpose medium-telephoto prime for shooting portraits and weddings. This versatile lens is ideal for capturing close-up portraits with its 1.4x magnification. It features a minimum focus distance of 10.2 inches and a working distance of 3.5 inches. Its focusing ring can be used to quickly switch between mode settings. The printed magnification scale and focus distance can be used to help photographers in manual focus applications. A focus range limiter switch can also be used to set the maximum distance from 10.2 to infinity for better responsiveness and autofocus speed. It has separate teleconverter support for users wanting to boost its magnification to 2.8x.
